Realisation of a Phytosanitary European Research Area (ERA) through EUPHRESCO

EUPHRESCO will realise a coordinated phytosanitary ERA by involving all existing and future key players through:

  • Greater sharing of information between national programmes.
  • Better coordination of existing national programmes at EU level.
  • Developing common agendas based on identified, shared priorities.
  • Developing proven instruments and mechanisms that will enable the implementation of joint trans-national activities.
  • Creating a long-term, sustainable network of phytosanitary research programme funders.
  • Improved interaction with stakeholders and industry bodies at national and EU levels.
  • Establishing links between the Network and key research funding bodies around the world.
  • Building European phytosanitary research capacity.

EUPHRESCO will enable better coordination and structuring of phytosanitary research in Europe through improved:

  • Deployment of national funds for national and trans-national research.
  • Coordination of research priorities suitable for EU Framework programme funding.
  • Availability of research data for Plant Health Policy makers.
  • Consultation with EC policy makers and other European plant health bodies

EUPHRESCO's contribution to coordinating and structuring the Phytosanitary (Statutory Plant Health) European Research Area.
