Real common pot: Funds are provided by respective ministries in The Netherlands (LNV) and the UK (Defra). There are two separate topics in the call that are of mutual interest to both funders. Funds are not specifically assigned to each topic and there is therefore potential competition between the two topics. Proposals are invited via a 2-stage application process: initial expression of interest using the short Application Form provided, followed by a limited competition via invited full proposals. The real common pot Guidelines for expressions of Interest provides more information on eligibility for funding, topic specifications, evaluation criteria, etc. An overview of the two real common pot topics is provided in the table below:
