Virtual common pot: There are five separate topics in the call. National funds are specifically assigned to each topic and there is no competition between topics. Proposals are invited via a 1-stage application process (full proposals) using the Application Form provided. The Virtual common pot Applicants Guide provides more information on eligibility for national funding, topic specifications, evaluation criteria, etc. An overview of the virtual pot topics and their funding consortia are provided in the table below:

  • For each individual topic, each participating national funding organisation only funds its own national researchers in any successful collaborative proposal according to its funding rules. See the Applicants Guide (Annex 3) for national eligibility per funding organisation.
  • Bidding research consortiums need to have a minimum number of three partners from a minimum of three funding countries

Submission of proposals: Proposals should be submitted according to the Applicants Guide instructions and should be received before the deadline. Electronic and original signed hard copies are required and should be submitted as follows:
